Serving Central Florida since 2011
Granite and Quartz Countertops Cut in Our Own Kissimmee Shop
We are the fabricator, not a middleman. Since 2011 we have cut, polished and installed more than 2,000 countertops across Central Florida.

Our work
Every photo here is a job we cut and installed
No stock photography. These are real Central Florida homes, photographed after our crew finished the install.
What we fabricate
Six things we cut, polish and install
Every one of these leaves our shop on Duncan Ave. We do not hand your slab to a subcontractor.
Kitchen Countertops
Full kitchen replacement, from template to install.
Bathroom and Vanity Tops
Single vanity, double vanity and full height splashes.
Islands and Waterfall Edges
Mitered panels so the vein keeps running down the side.
Outdoor Kitchens
Grill surrounds and bar tops built for Florida weather.
Full Stone Backsplash
The same slab running from the counter to the cabinets.
Cabinets and Built-ins
Cabinets, hardware and built in shelving to match the stone.
Materials
Six stones, and a straight answer about each one
Every material behaves differently once it is in a working kitchen. Here is the short version, and our designers will walk you through the rest at the showroom.
What we do not do
- We do not work with 1 cm granite. When a project calls for a thin profile, we use porcelain.
- We do not install floor tile.
- We do not reconnect plumbing, gas or electrical. Countertops only.
- We will not promise an exact color match to stone that is already installed, because slabs vary lot to lot.
- Overhangs past 12 inches need brackets, and those go in before we arrive.

Pick the exact slab that goes in your kitchen
A photo of stone never matches the piece you end up with. Veining moves, the tone shifts, and two slabs cut from the same block can look like different materials. So come stand in front of the real thing before anything gets cut.
How it works
Four steps, and you always know which one you are in
Free estimate
We come out and measure, at no charge. For a simple job you can send photos and measurements instead and we will quote from those.
Usually the same weekPick your slab
You choose the material at our Kissimmee facility, looking at the actual piece under real light, not a sample chip.
At the showroomTemplate
We template once the cabinets are set and screwed to the wall. For an outdoor kitchen, the frame has to be built first.
One visitFabricate and install
We cut, polish and edge in house, then install. Plan on dust, clear out the lower cabinets and keep kids and pets out of the room.

About Onyx
The company that cuts your slab should be the one that installs it
Onyx started in 2011 on that idea. Everything happens at our own facility on Duncan Ave: we buy the material, cut it, polish the edge and set it in your home. There is no middleman marking up a slab and no subcontractor crew showing up in a truck you have never seen.
That is what lets us specialize in 3 cm, hold a 5 to 10 day turnaround after template, and put a 1 year workmanship warranty on every install. It is also why, when a job is not right, we tell you instead of taking it.
Homeowners are about half of what we do. The rest is builders, designers and cabinet shops around Central Florida who send us floor plans and get renders back.
The install is where we get judged
Fourteen years of kitchens in Central Florida, and the reviews come from the day the crew leaves. Read what people wrote, in their words, on our Google profile.
Service area
Where we template and install
We install within roughly 60 miles of the Kissimmee shop. If your home sits past that line, call us and we will tell you straight whether the trip makes sense for your job.
Questions
What homeowners ask us before they sign
Do you fabricate the stone yourselves or send it out?
We fabricate. The slab is cut, polished and edged at our own facility on Duncan Ave in Kissimmee, and the same company installs it in your home. Nothing is handed to an outside shop along the way.
How long does the whole thing take?
The install itself is usually one day. From the day we template your cabinets, expect 5 to 10 days before the crew arrives with the finished tops.
Do you work in 2 cm or 3 cm?
We specialize in 3 cm, which is the thicker slab and the one we recommend. We also fabricate 2 cm when the color you picked is not available in 3 cm. We do not work with 1 cm granite. If you want a thin profile, we use porcelain instead.
Will my countertop have seams?
Most kitchens need at least one. We place them where they read the least, match the color and fill them with a food safe epoxy that cures in about an hour. A kitchen with no seam at all is rare and depends on the size of the slab.
Do you remove the old countertops?
You can tear them out yourself, or we can do it and haul the material away for an additional charge. Tell us which one you want when we come out to measure.
Do you reconnect the sink, gas or electrical?
No. We install countertops only. We are not licensed for plumbing, gas or electrical, so you will want a plumber lined up for the day after the install.
How much overhang can I have without brackets?
Up to 12 inches unsupported, following the two thirds rule. Anything past 12 inches needs brackets, and those have to be installed before we arrive with the stone.
Can you match the stone I already have?
Honestly, no. Natural stone changes lot to lot, so nobody can promise an exact match to a piece that is already in your home. What we do instead is help you pick a fresh slab you actually like, and we will tell you upfront when a job is not worth doing for that reason.
